Hung was born in Hong Kong and moved with his family to the United States at the age of four. After settling in the North East of the USA, Hung completed his education at New York University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Marketing, Business Management and Accounting.
Hung manages the daily operations of the Lam Group hotel portfolio and serves as head of franchise relations. He is responsible for developing strategic plans for each property in regards to marketing, time management, budgeting and working with the management company to increase return on investment.
Following a number of successful entrepreneurial endeavors' in the Fashion Industry, Manufacturing, Importing and Real Estate Development, Hung decided some 15 -20 years ago to expand the Real Estate side of the business into hotel investments. Since that time Hung has been associated with over forty hotel projects with a variety of brands including Starwood Hotels, Marriott Hotels, IHG, , Hilton Hotels, Wyndham Hotels, Choice, Best Western, and independent boutique hotels.
Hung's first major venture with a Starwood brand was the decision to brand the 158 Room Manhattan, Chelsea. Since then, Hung has developed multiple Four Points by Sheraton throughout New York City, and has developed other Starwood brands like Aloft and Sheraton To date Hung has been involved in the development of 9 Starwood hotels in New York City.
In addition to all the hotel development he is also developing several residential Condominium and commercial projects.
Hung is an executive committee member of the Association of Starwood Franchisees & Owners, and has served on Advisory Boards on many major hotel franchises and other businesses.
