A meeting of the ASFONA Board of Directors was held on November 28th & 29th 2017. The Associate Members group met with the Owners on November 29th. At this session Bobby Bowers from Smith Travel Research made a presentation to the group on the prevailing and projected business environment in North America including the expanded markets to be covered by ASFONA going forward. John Shingler gave a detailed presentation on the new ASFONA mandate and its commitment to Marriott during the Starwood/Marriott integration.

On the night of November 28th the ASFONA Owners Board joined together with the ASFONA Associate Members group for the traditional ASFONA “Chefs Creation Dinner” followed by an after-dinner "Magic in the Moonlight" Reception hosted by Mark Sharkey - President, Remington Hotels.

On the afternoon of November 28th the ASFONA Owners Board of Directors met with Marriott International. An overview as follows:
