Marc Thompson began his career in the cable industry with Cablevision Industries in Orlando Florida in 1992 as a customer service representative. Marc spent a number of years as a door to door direct sales representative before transitioning into commercial cable, bulk hospitality and residential MDU contract sales in the mid 90’s.

In 2000 Marc became one of the first account executives in the newly formed Business Class sales group in Orlando FL, marketing and selling commercial HSD services. Marc was recognized as the Southeast’s top account executive for Time Warner Business Class in 2002.

Marc arrived in the Birmingham Division in 2003 as Sales Manager of Business Solutions for Advanced Newhouse (Bright House Networks). While there, Marc was responsible for day to day operations of all Business Solutions: Internet sales via Cable Modem, Wireless and Direct Fiber based Solutions, Small Business Cable TV, Business Voice/PRI solutions and Enterprise Level Solutions for Hotels, Apartments, Hospitals and Residential Subdivisions. Marc managed a team of 14, including Inside Sales, Outside Account Executives, Account Managers, Commercial Development and Residential Bulk AE’s and Sales Engineering. Marc played key roles in the organization as it relates to operations, product development and testing, escalation and support, CRM, sales goals and compensation.

Marc moved to Charlotte in 2010 to develop an Enterprise Sales team to focus on large business to include major Hospital, Financial and Multi-site accounts across the southern NC and the SC markets for Time Warner Cable Business Class. Marc was TWCBC’s lead contact for the Democratic National Convention that was held in Charlotte in September 2012, participating in key strategy meetings between both organizations to ensure that TWCBC was recognized as a strategic communications partner during this historic event for the Charlotte area. After this successful event, Marc was promoted to Director of Hospitality and Broadcast/Media Sales for TWCBC covering the East Region.

Today, Marc oversees a team of 7 sales managers and 52 sales reps across the East Region of the TWC footprint. Marc is responsible for over 2 million dollars in new revenue in 2014 and managing a client list of over 4 million in current billing revenue. His team is dedicated to the Hospitality and Broadcast/Media industry(s) working with franchisee, management groups as well as the National Brands within the Hospitality Space.

Marc has been married for 21 years, has 2 children and resides in Charlotte, NC.
